Rodolfo puts a lot of effort into his winemaking, especially his Gran Reservas. These are effectively his crown jewels, and he protects, nurtures and lavishes them with love.
In Rioja, they don’t allow any old wine to be called Gran Reserva. Some of the strictest wine rules in the world ensure its consistent quality. Only a select list of grapes can go into it. The grapes have to be high quality, and the wine aged for a minimum period to earn the Gran Reserva classification.
Rodolfo's top drop has been aged in wood for years, you know it the moment you smell its smoky vanilla nose. But when the wine hits your tongue it's all about the powerful, black cherry and raspberry fruits and the long lingering finish.

Light, powerful and brimming with lush aromas of red fruits, Denis describes it as exactly what a Cru Cairanne should be; an Iron Hand in a Velvet Glove. (We’re not gonna lie, we are probably going to nab that phrase from him).
Making a Cru Cairanne with 80% grenache is uncommon, but Denis reckons it represents his style at its very best. Given that wines like his Chene Noir and Reserve Red have gone down an absolute storm with Angels, there’s no doubt in our mind that this one will be out of this world.

Burgundy has always been one of my favourite regions to work in. My Saint Veran and Pouilly Fuisse are both from the region, and I have always dreamed of making a Macon Villages.
Thanks to Angel support, I was able to secure some old Chardonnay vines on the slopes of Macon that were perfect for a traditional style white, with no oak influence, that really shows what this appellation can do.
My Macon Villages is a lighter, refreshing style, with a fresh citrus aroma, clean acidity and a creamy finish.

We took the 2019 vintage of Sandra's Treixadura when we reached out to winemakers in our Covid Support fund, 92% of Angels gave it a thumbs up and said they'd buy it again, so it's back again for another vintage.
Treixadura is one of Spain's hidden treasures. Normally it’s blended with other grapes to add a vibrant citrusy zing, but Sandra makes it shine on its own. A full-bodied white with luscious flavours of ripe peach and refreshing citrus.

We sourced grapes from a handful of exceptional vineyards in two different subregions of the Barossa Valley - Kalimna in the west, which provided fruit with great fruit intensity and ripe flavours, and Ebenezer in the north, which yields fruit with great concentration, tannin and structure.
It's a dense purple-black in the glass, with powerful aromas of blackberry and blood plum, and hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and star anise. The palate is opulent, with concentrated forest fruits supported by tobacco, mocha, graphite and toasty oak flavours. Full tannins and rich, ripe structure give the wine great power and a long finish.
It's drinking beautifully now and goes wonderfully well with aged hard cheeses like gouda, cheddar or mimolette. But if you're inclined to wait, it will age well over 6-10 years in optimum cellaring conditions.
