Long before Champagne became the capital of French fizz, Blanquette de Limoux was the very first sparkling white wine created in France, way back in 1531. And if you’re a fan of its more famous cousin, you should definitely give these sparkles a try, it’s Champers-quality at a fraction of the price.
Made using the traditional local grape Mauzac, it’s an elegant, easy-drinking style of bubbly with delicious aromas of lemon citrus, white almonds and apple crumble that follow through on the palate in a clean, fresh finish. He's kept it classic, exclusively using traditional techniques to preserve the Rose's delicate touch and elegantly layered fruit flavours. Franks's bottled up a true breath of fresh air for his Angles, that's guaranteed to blow away the cobwebs.
The hand picked Pinot Noir grapes deliver a bright acidity with a fruit forward kick. Fresh summer strawberries take centre stage, whilst apples and melon flavours provide a crisp, cool summer breeze.
