No winemaking tricks here... armed with your funding, I was able to select the very best damn fruit I've ever seen, harvested in the cool of the night and gently pressed to preserve those classic Sauvignon Blanc characters.
The result is elegant yet complex. Powerful yet poised. An explosion of ripe tropical fruit including guava, blackcurrant, lime zest and pink grapefruit. All beautifully wrapped in that classic Marlborough zing which makes it so refreshingly drinkable.
It's a single vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc sourced from one of the most highly sought after blocks in the region. I reckon it's the best Sauvignon Blanc I've made in my 15 year career. And I've made some crackers!

In the mouth it's a fruit bomb of strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants and once the initial explosion settles you get a flood of sweet creamy vanilla that finishes with just a touch of woodsmoke. Bloomin' lovely!
A nice roast chicken, lots of crispy potatoes, a smidge of veg (to keep mum happy) and a case of this. That's Sunday sorted.

All the time we are searching for new alternatives for Angels. For that reason we decide to make our traditional Merlot again, but this time with a little twist.
We were thrilled when Naked agreed to support us with the money to create this new wine for Angels.
Merlot always is a great wine for food pairing, fresh and smooth, but all the time we are looking for a "special touch" in this case the Malbec brings a delicious velvety texture and juicy black fruit. This blend is a perfect example of the wine that we enjoy drinking in the evenings.

Its subtle soft fruit flavours, all fresh apple and baked gooseberry with a slightly herbal edge slip down far too easily, making possession of a whole case a dangerous prospect.
Try it with a big bowl of fat, juicy mussels - it really doesn't get much better.

In an effort to produce a crisp, elegant style of Pinot Gris, grapes were harvested at a fairly low sugar degree, ensuring a moderate alcohol level of 12.5% and lively natural acidity.
The trick to allowing the delicate flavours of Pinot Gris to reveal themselves is gentle handling of fruit, careful racking to ensure clear juice, and a cool fermentation temperature. Some time on lees after the end of fermentation has resulted in a wine that displays not only fresh, limey fruit character, but has palate weight too.
Crystalline in appearance with a light green hue, this wine has a nose displaying lively citrus notes and a granny smith apple-sherbert character. The palate has freshness and lively acidity, yet retains a certain weight and fullness that provides length to the finish
