Virgile Joly is a minor genius with the Merlot grape, and he's come up trumps with this little number...
In the mouth it's a fruit bomb of black cherry and plums and once the initial explosion settles you get a flood of sweet creamy vanilla that finishes with just a touch of woodsmoke. Bloomin' lovely!
A hunk of red meat, lots of roast potatoes, a smidge of veg (to keep mum happy) and a case of this. That's Sunday sorted.

This is New Zealand fruit heaven with a little Loire twist. Punchy, herbacious and packed with gooseberries and lime, all wrapped up with a soft, elegant finish.
Too many NZ wines focus on style over substance, so imagine how excited we are to give you a wine that's chocka with both - at around half the price. Stunning.

When Carlos first pushed this wine our way, we were so darned impressed, we immediately asked him to make six other wines exclusively for us. Yes siree folks, he really is that good.
This is classic Rioja. Smooth, creamy strawberry fruits, with a little touch of raspberry underneath, all wrapped up in a cloak of vanilla oak that makes the mouth quiver with anticipation. Stunning stuff.
You don't get many Riojas at this kind of quality under a tenner. And when you do, you snap them up, just as we did.

In a previous life Charles worked in pharmaceuticals - now he takes a scientific approach to getting the best from his grapes. While the French are still on holiday in August, Charles is busy in the fields measuring and monitoring to get the best out of his vines.
Charles is an Englishman in France breaking the rules - so when the locals say you can't make zippy Sauvignon, he went out to prove them wrong.
PS. Don't be fooled by the rose name... it's a deliciously zippy white! Sunshine in a glass...give it a go while it's at its peak.

My Rebel Shiraz is made with grapes from 4 different vineyards - the trick is to wait until the warm and dry conditions have allowed full, ripe flavours to develop in the vineyard. After leaving the grapes to cold soak for a couple of days they're pressed and matured separately before blending into the final balanced wine.
Along with the rest of my Rebel range, my Rebel Shiraz is one of my most sought after wines! It's my favourite grape so I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
This wine is for lovers of rich and full bodied reds, the flavours are full of ripe plum and berry fruit, with hints of chocolate. It's a full, rich and deliciously smooth wine that certainly punches well above its weight!

Having already made an everyday Tinto and Blanco, there was a wine, which was clearly missing, an everyday rosé. This is the kind of rosé I like, light and crisp with an elegant perfume of fresh berries over subtle floral notes.
I made this wine from selected, estate-grown Tempranillo grapes, allowing the juice only a short contact time with the skins. The result is a delicate and versatile wine, ideal as an aperitif or with pasta and summer dishes.
Naked Wines Angels are supporting me through funding and enjoying my wines. I could not make any wines without people wanting to buy it. This allows me being honest as a winemaker, creating fresh, pure wines, reflecting a sense of place, which is the hallmark of my winemaking.
