Danie’s vineyards sit in the Bottelary Hills - the second lowest yielding ward in South Africa. The ‘koffieklip’ soils here are clay rich, creating an amzazing intensity in its pinotage grapes - you won't find Pinotage of this kind of quality anywhere else in South Africa.
The grapes are picked over two days – the first section is picked earlier, bringing the red fruit cherry flavours, whilst the second section brings darker fruit like plums and cassis.
A real ‘braai’ enthusiast (South Africa’s answer to the BBQ), Danie wanted to craft a powerful wine that is perfect to enjoy alfresco with juicy meat, but that can also be cracked open and enjoyed on extra special occasions.

The Syrah grapes Ben uses for this wine come from the organic vineyards of Chateau Maris vineyard. It sits on the land of La Livinière, the premier wine-making village of AOC Minervois-La Livinière
The vines were first planted by the Romans who were nurturing the grapes and making wines here 2,000 years ago. Inspired by the history of the vineyard, Ben has pulled out all the stops to produce this wine with as little intervention as possible - using no sulphur or yeast, just the pure product of top-quality fruit.
With subtle red fruit, pure aromas on the nose, velvety tannins in the mouth and an elegant long finish, this juicy yet effortlessly light wine is delightfully easy drinking!

The Goulburn Valley is the ‘food bowl of Australia’ with its ideal climate and excellent soils, it couldn’t be a better spot for Glenn’s Lagoon vineyard to thrive. It has a totally unique microclimate, producing the elegant, darker flavours in this red wine.

Tom Puyaubert is a champion of Rioja’s most overlooked and underappreciated grapes and none deserves his love more than Graciano - the star of his Vinas Antiguas.
Graciano is a fantastic grape naturally packed full of complex flavours that lends itself perfectly to elegant oak-aged wines like this. But because it only fully ripens if you grow it in low yields, most winemakers avoid it in favour of more prolific fruit. Thankfully Tom is a super-passionate and patient winemaker who’s willing to commit the time and effort required for his grapes to reach their full potential.
His Vinas Antiguas is packed full of all the dark fleshy black fruit flavours that Graciano is famous for, with lush blueberries and blackcurrants and a hint of spice. Almost like a Rhone Syrah. And by blending in some prime Tempranillo from his 100-year-old vines, then ageing this wine in French oak for 18 months, it’s all rounded out with a silky-smooth and classy finish. Mouthwatering.
