Torrontes is Argentina's naughty little secret. Few know about it, which makes it all the more delightful when you discover it.
Take all the zingy freshness of a good Sauvignon, round the flavours out with a bit of apple and pear, ease off on the gooseberry and add a touch of cream. Bingo. That's the big T for you and this one is a particularly fine example.
Mauricio's crisp, aromatic Torrontes is the perfect match for a Thai takeaway. He recommends sticky, spicy, crispy chilli beef or a fragrant, coconutty Thai green curry.

We have such diverse white varieties at Sainte Rose that we wanted to try an ‘assemblage’ to highlight the best of each grape variety. Blends like this often end up being more exotic and interesting than single varietal wines, with far more character and quaffability!
Angels have been asking us for a top notch, easy-drinking, southern French sipper. The support of Angel funding has given us the confidence and flexibility to produce the best and most interesting white wine possible.
Using the field blend concept we picked Muscat, Roussanne, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Marsanne over a 24 hr period, resulting in a unique blend with a huge spectrum of flavours including grapefruit, guava, peach, and other exotic fruits.

When Carlos first pushed this wine our way, we were so darned impressed, we immediately asked him to make six other wines exclusively for us. Yes siree folks, he really is that good.
This is classic Rioja. Smooth, creamy strawberry fruits, with a little touch of raspberry underneath, all wrapped up in a cloak of vanilla oak that makes the mouth quiver with anticipation. Stunning stuff.
You don't get many Riojas at this kind of quality under a tenner. And when you do, you snap them up, just as we did.
