I believe that there is no greater translator of terroir than Chardonnay. I think this shows off my style of winemaking perfectly, I just had to share this wine with you.
Chardonnay grapes and the cost of barrels make it difficult to grow the volumes. When I heard there was an opportunity for a new Chardonnay in Naked Wines’ range I couldn't resist putting this wine together for the Angels. Thank you Angels and Naked for believing in me and helping me fund this awesome Chardonnay.
Light gold in colour with a green tinge, on the nose there is complex citrus, green apples and pears followed by a light toasty character from the 30% new French Oak. These flavours integrate on a seamless, well balanced palate with a butterscotch, citrus mineral finish.

To make this Chardonnay, I sourced grapes from cooler climates around the Western Cape of South Africa. The grapes from these areas benefit from long cool summers that helps heighten and define its flavour.
These cooler climates are hugely sought after by winemakers, and as you would expect the prices for those grapes are higher. Naked funding has allowed me to secure high quality grapes for several vintages, so that Angels can enjoy consistently high quality Chardonnay for years to come.
The Cutler Chardonnay has a lovely freshness to it, apple, pear and peach flavours and an elegance and finesse that comes from 50% of the wine sitting in oak, and the other half left un-oaked.

When Ben first launched this mouthwatering Grenache in 2018, it was only supposed to be a one-off. A special parcel he’d sourced from a Languedoc mate. But when Angels tasted it, they fell in love at first sip, and pretty much demanded a second vintage. So we gave Ben the freedom and the funds to make this wine his own, and make it even better.
With its hardy ancient vines, warm Mediterranean sunshine and cooling windy hillsides, the Languedoc has ideal conditions for producing juicy, late-maturing fruit that’s full of flavour. And Ben was painstaking in his search to find and use only the cream of its Grenache crop.
Finally, he went to work in the winery, combining his skills as a master blender with his intimate knowledge of Angel tastebuds to create this rich and silky red that’s become a must-have for fans of Ben and his wines. It’s packed full of juicy fresh raspberries and strawberries with a dark delicious undercurrent of sweet spice. As close as you’ll get to Chateauneuf-du-Pape quality in the Languedoc.

Four years ago Mauricio Lorca had a close call when freak late frosts decimated many vineyards in Mendoza. Thanks to Angel funding he was able to rescue his Tannat grapes in pristine condition before the frosts hit.
For the few who managed to avoid disaster, 2018 produced one of the best Argentine vintages in recent times and it's been a hit with Angels ever since. A Tannat as powerful and perfumed as this one won’t come around too often.
This is a big, powerful red, full of ripe dark fruit. Lush to drink, its spicy and savoury flavours and herbal aromas are a feast for the senses. If you love huge satisfying reds, this one’s got your name on it.
