Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
The big booming Italian red giving Amarone a run for its money
- Brunello di Montacino is a strong contender for the title of Italy's biggest and grandest wine, right up there with Amarone and the Super Tuscans. It's a good job too, because it means the hard work and hoops that must be jumped in order to make this classy number is all worth while.
- It's a rather fiddly process you see. You need 100% Sangiovese grapes from young vines that are then aged for 5 years, with 2 spent tightly tucked away in barrels. After a grueling wait the end product is finally released on new years day 5 years after the year it was harvested.
- The end product is well worth the wait. Beautifully perfumed with a mix of violets, red berries and truffles. The palate is well structured, with the most delicate touch of tart tannins, amping this rich Italian red up several notches. This Brunello di Montalcino is a real gem for any Italianophile.
