Olivier Cazenave Bel Allure Bordeaux Blanc 2020
About the wine
This stellar blend of Sauvignon Blanc and fearsomely smooth Semillion is your new best friend
- Olivier's decided that it's high time for the King of white Bordeaux wines to be dethroned. Step aside Sauvignon and make way for Semillon.
- This is a new take on the classic white Bordeaux style. Olivier was impressed by how Semillon, a very rich and full grape, could also be so fresh and aromatic. A balance like this can be rather difficult to find in white wine, but Olivier's only gone and cracked it!
- Effortlessly combining zesty and floral flavours with warmer, honeyed undertones. This is the ideal venture if you love a Sauvignon blanc and fancy expanding your list of favourites.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Olivier Cazenave
- Olivier Cazenave is a rare breed... the most radical wine grower you'll find in the historically posh and stuffy Bordeaux region.
- He developed a taste for wine aged 17, but Olivier didn’t realise he could turn his passion into a career until he was 40. He started making wine in 2003, in the middle of a downturn in the region “you would have to be crazy to buy a property in Bordeaux in 2003”.
- Olivier may hail from an ultra-famous wine region, but you probably haven’t heard of him... and that’s a good thing. He’s one of the region’s best kept secrets and he wants to prove that you can find outstanding value in Bordeaux.
