About the wine
- If someone landed on the planet and looked for the perfect place to grow some grapes, they'd pick Mendoza. Very hot days and very cool nights create awesome results.
- Malbec is Argentina's speciality grape. It's like Spanish Paella. Or Italian pizza. Or British toad-in-the-hole. No one else really bothers making it, simply because they can't make it as good!
- Big, dark and powerful. Serve this with a rare bit of beef and you'll think you've died and gone to heaven.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Patricio Gouguenheim
- Back in the 1990s, Patricio had a hunch. And so he gave up his prosperous career as a city banker and spent his life savings on an old vineyard. Luckily his hunch was right.
- Mendoza is the head of Argentina's wine-making country. Very hot days and very cool nights mean buckets of refined, ripe fruit. It's what Argentina does best.
- One of our original winemakers, Patricio supported us at the beginning. And now we support him. And with all that history, he's kindly kept resisting any price hikes.
