This unique Sauvignon Blanc with French charm and New Zealand throttle is so good that Ben and Rod made you a free bumper 1.5 litre Magnum - so you'll be able to enjoy this Angel favourite in all its turbo-charged glory for a few glasses longer.
When we first broke the news in December 2019 about a new intercontinental Sauvignon Blanc created by two Naked legends, we had no idea it was going to become our most popular white wine of last year. Angels drank through it so quick, we asked Ben and Rod if they’d bottle up some of the second vintage into bumper 1.5L Magnums to give you as a special thank-you in 2021. Voila!
Ben and Rod have combined two totally different styles of winemaking to make this wine. And the result is just, wow. Technically it’s French, but in the glass, it’s 100% turbo-charged Kiwi Sav, a tropical fruit-bowl of aromas and flavours.
It's a Sav Blanc like no other, where French charm meets New Zealand throttle head on. Ben sourced the perfect Languedoc fruit, and former Head Winemaker at Craggy Range Rod Easthope brought over 25-years experience to the party. Without you, they’d never even have met and this bottle would never have been made - so this bumper 1.5 litre Magnum is well deserved!

Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Darnault
- When Ben left a safe winemaking job in Australia to move back to France with his young family in the noughties, at first he really struggled. The financial crash of 2007/08 clobbered the winery he was working at, so they had to let him go. He couldn’t catch a break.
- That was until Angels freed Ben from the corporate fat cats and transformed his livelihood. Thanks to Angels, Ben was finally able to set up on his own and realise his lifelong dream of putting his own name on the label. Even better, he had an advance on his next vintage!
- With Angel support, Ben has been able to invest more, source even better fruit and establish strong relationships with local growers to improve the quality of his delicious wines year-on-year. With thousands of rave reviews, he’s a bonafide Naked icon.
