Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
A rare white worth its weight in gold
-
Naked’s old Wine Guy, Ray, has turned his wine mastery into winemaking magic – and this beautifully zesty and refreshing Garnacha Blanca (with a dash of fruity Macabeo) is one of his first and finest creations.
-
It’s made from beautiful old, organically grown vines perched 650 metres above sea level in northern Spain. The cool mountain air, stony limestone soils, and concentrated old vine grapes give this wine its natural freshness and intensity.
-
Expect lush grapefruit and melon, followed by hints of almond and floral complexity. It’s a bright, textured wine – perfect with roast chicken, Ray reckons it would also shine with zingy Asian or Mexican dishes too (anyone for spicy chicken tacos?).

Serving advice

Food match
Delicious with a classic pairing of roast chicken and thyme. This refreshing and aromatic white would also be delicious with zingy Asian or Mexican food with a squeeze of lime and coriander.

Meet the winemaker - Ray O'Connor
-
For 10 years, Ray O’Connor was the man who travelled the world to find the world’s best wines for you Angels. During his time at Naked, he also became a Master of Wine – one of only a few hundred in the world. After leaving in early 2024 to “scratch a few itches,” Ray teased that it might not be goodbye forever. And he meant it.
-
Having tasted thousands of wines for Angels, Ray knows better than almost anyone what sort of wines you love. His new project, Bota Bota, is all about crafting bright, balanced, and brilliantly drinkable wines from old vines – which naturally yield fewer grapes but far more flavour.
-
Ray’s first wines come from the sun-soaked hills of Almonacid de la Sierra in northern Spain, where century-old Garnacha vines thrive in tough, stony soils. But the world is his oyster and this is just the beginning. After years finding wines for Angels, he’s thrilled to finally be making them for you. “This has been a long time coming but I am so excited to be able to share my very own wine with you all. Please let me know what you think – for better or worse!”
