Beautiful Isle Peacock Pinot Noir 2023
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Ever tasted a Tasmanian pinot?
- Cyn and Dave have been making wine together in Tasmania for 15 years, and they're utterly delighted to bring you a taste of pinot noir from their beautiful isle.
- Tasmania is the heart of cool climate grape growing in Australia and its pinot noirs are similar to those from New Zealand or Burgundy
- It’s a fresh and fruit-driven style of pinot noir, with aromatic notes of cherry, spice and satsuma plum. The palate is full and soft, with a primary fruit punch followed by more spicy, savoury flavours and a long, smooth finish with velvety tannins.

Serving advice
Our pinot noir can be chilled a little for hot summers, or warm in winter with cosy dinners by the fire. Open/decant 30 mins before serving and best served at 16-18°C.
Food match
What food do we pair it with? Locally sourced and ethically grown wallaby. It's a wonderfully lean, healthy, gamey meat, delicious served from the barbie or in a delicious bolognese. For vegetarians, mushroom risotto, especially if truffles are in season, is the bees knees!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Cynthea & David Feldheim
-
This canny couple from the Tamar Valley has captivated Angels with their Gypsy Caravan offerings of tiny volume, hand-made deliciousness. The name reflects freedom, the ‘wild’ way the wines are made and the close relationship they have with this pristine place.
-
Cynthea has been making wine magic for 23 years. Bitten by the wine bug when her parents moved from San Francisco to Tassie and planted their own vineyard, she ended up studying winemaking and wine marketing. Then the world became her vinous oyster!
-
It’s hard to find great Tasmanian wines by little family winemakers like these outside of cellar doors and fancy restaurants. The Feldheim's exclusive access to parcels of lovingly tended fruit from mature vines means their Tamar Valley tipples are the next level in quality and value. Angel support has been so powerful, they’ve been able to take over the family vineyard - the first Tasmanian cellar door - and return it to its former glory.
