Rock it like a redhead
Odds are you’ve already come across Jen and her wines – it’s fair to say she stole the show on our 2026 Tasting Tour.
After all, she’s something of a Naked legend. Her range is as impressive as it is diverse, spanning everything from Riesling and Merlot to Shiraz and fortifieds. But it’s not just the wines that have earned her a devoted following. Angels can’t stop singing their praises, and once you’ve tasted them, it’s easy to see why…
Jen’s our top-selling winemaker in Australia.
She's a former Naked Winemaker of the Year. And in Australia, she was even voted Winemaker of the Decade by Angels. Yes, you read that right. Decade.
She’s the winner of over 300 medals and 12 trophies, and is also an esteemed wine judge with an impeccable palate (which she applies to the wines she crafts for you).
She has sold more than two million bottles exclusively to Naked Angels.
Did we mention Jen’s a bit of a legend around here? If you fancy seeing where the magic happens up close, Jen’s opened her cellar doors to Angels. You can visit her winery, meet the redhead behind the label, and experience it all firsthand – but more on that in a few scrolls.
The Queen of fortifieds (and fizz)
Jen isn’t one to stick to just one style. From crisp Riesling to bold Shiraz and the iconic fortified wines Rutherglen is famous for, she brings the same precision and passion to every bottle.
Her Muscat, for example, is a firm Angel favourite – rich, luscious and packed with sweet, raisiny flavour that lingers long after the last sip. And it’s little wonder. Jen comes from dessert wine royalty, with the Pfeiffer family renowned for producing some of Australia’s finest stickies.
And then there are her Rebel bubbles. This crowd-pleasing blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir has built a loyal following for good reason. Fresh, vibrant and beautifully balanced, it delivers just the right mix of ripe fruit, delicate sweetness and crisp acidity, making every glass easy to enjoy.
And there’s lots more to discover too, head over to Jen’s page to see her full range and taste what all the fuss is about.
Fun fact! Jen's wines are all named after iconic songs and albums from her fave artist David Bowie. Fittingly, a Rebel, a Hero and a Diamond also sums Jen up pretty nicely too.
Winemaking: a family affair
Jen was just four years old when her parents bought the historic Old Distillery property in Rutherglen in 1984 – and it quickly became her playground.
She spent her childhood roaming the vineyards on her bike, discovering secret hiding spots in the winery and playing endless games of hide-and-seek with her cousins among the barrels.
Growing up surrounded by winemaking meant wine was simply part of everyday life. From an early age, Jen absorbed everything she could – from the craft happening on her doorstep to the wider world of Australian and international wine. That early immersion laid the foundations for the thoughtful, versatile (and rebellious) winemaker she is today.
It was written in the stars
It may have seemed inevitable that Jen would one day return to the family winery – but first, she took a detour.
After beginning a Science and Law degree at the University of Melbourne, she followed her curiosity into the world of wine, honing her craft at some of the great wineries of France and Portugal before heading home.
The plan was simple: return to Rutherglen to earn a bit of money, then head overseas again. Instead, she was handed the responsibility of making the 2000 Pfeiffer Shiraz – and discovered she'd found exactly where she belonged.
That very first wine went on to win a gold medal. Safe to say, the rest is history.
So how did Jen end up making wine for Naked?
It all started back in 2012, when Sam Plunkett (another of our fan-favourite winemakers) insisted we pay a visit to his friend – "the girl with the superstar palate". The only snag? She was busy judging at a wine show. We waited patiently, and the moment we finally met her, we knew she'd fit right in.
More than a decade later, Jen is still making wines with the same blend of scientific precision and creative flair. She believes it's the smallest details that make the biggest difference, and that meticulous approach shines through in every bottle.
The accolades soon followed. At just 30 years old, Jen was named the Wine Society's Young Winemaker of the Year – Sommelier's Choice Award, recognised from a field of Australia's and New Zealand's brightest young winemaking talent.
Her wines have since earned more than 300 medals and 12 trophies, along with multiple nominations for Export Wine of the Year.
Impressive as the awards are, it's the response from Angels that means the most. Their love for her wines has made Jen one of Naked's most popular – and enduring – winemakers.

As ever, her focus is on raising the bar – crafting exceptional wines with the same care, curiosity and attention to detail that's earned her such a devoted following.

'Til then, in the words of the lady herself: rock it like a redhead!
