Tom Shula California Chardonnay 2022
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Easy-sipping Chardonnay
-
This Chardonnay is a refreshing white with zippy citrus flavours and a crisp, thirst-quenching finish.
-
With Angel funding, award-winning Angel-turned-winemaker Tom Shula crafted this lively white to spotlight the easy-drinking side of Chardonnay, with just a touch of toasty oak to balance its fresh fruity character.
- Chardonnay has consistently been one of Tom’s most popular wines with US Angels – now’s your chance to try his latest vintage of this crowd favorite.
Best before
This wine is ready to enjoy now, but it should evolve and continue to show well for at least 2-3 years.
Serving advice
This wine doesn't need decanting, but temperature is important. If the wine was in the fridge for more than a couple of hours it will be too cold for the flavors and aromas to reveal themselves. the wine should be cool, not cold on the palate. My preference is 50-65 F, so if it was in a wine fridge at 55-60 it should be fine. I actually enjoy it even a bit warmer.
Food match
This wine is a great match with seafood or dished with a rich creamy sauce. Think seared scallops, shrimp scampi, fettucine alfredo. It's also delicious with mild cheeses.
Contains sulphites
