The Brave Goose Reserve Cabernet 2020
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Powerful, elegant Cab from a vineyard close to Nina's heart
- Our Cabernet Sauvignon was planted in 1987 on the rolling slopes in the foothills of the Tallarook Ranges in Central Victoria. I still remember these tiny vines' first hot summer in the ground, when Dad sent me and my sister out with buckets of water to give them a much needed drink... I was 6 years old! So you could say we grew up together.
- Seeing the vintages from these vines improve each year and mature into the beautifully balanced wines that I now have the privilege to make and take all the way to your shores in the UK, is amazing!
- The grapes are hand picked then aged in French oak barriques for 18 months, giving way to a rich and powerful red with an elegant structure and long, clean finish. The vines only produce a very small parcel of Cabernet each year so these bottles won't last long on the shelves so please make sure you stock up while you can!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nina Stocker
- Nina Stocker is a ridiculously talented young Aussie winemaker who's dedication to her wines knows no bounds. It's not just about the end product for Nina - she's there every step of the way, working side by side with the grape growers, the truck drivers and cellar hands to make stonking wines that are fair and sustainable for all involved. Is it any wonder she’s already achieved international recognition and critical acclaim?
- She's made wine for famous brands all over the shop – from the Rhône Valley to Yarra, McLaren Vale to Marlborough – Nina won the Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the prestigious Air New Zealand Wine Awards back in 2009. A feat even more astounding given it was her first year working with the grape.
- Now living in Central Victoria, Nina sources her grapes from like-minded growers and local vineyards who are down-to-earth (quite literally), and dig sustainable winemaking just as much as she does. Thanks to the support of Naked Angels, Nina and her husband John have been able to develop sustainable farming methods, growing outstanding grapes whilst giving back to the land that made them. It’s a win for nature and a win for wine lovers.
