Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Premium fizz from two English superstars
- Your favourite Simpsons Ruth and Charles have done it again. Their new Beora Reserve is an English Blanc de Blancs (literally means white from whites) which, thanks to England’s Chardonnay-friendly climate, delivers the sort of sparkling white your wine rack craves.
- Pale-gold with a fine mousse (aka light and creamy bubbles), this 100% Chardonnay bubbly has classic aromas of citrus and green apple. It’s balanced with subtle, toasted brioche notes and distinctive minerality, ending in a rich, persistent finish. Think of it as English style embodied – ideal for special occasions when you want something, well, special.
- Lovely as an aperitif to savour and a perfect companion to some freshly shucked Whitstable oysters. Seafood aside, it’s also a great partner for roast chicken, foraged morel mushrooms and mature soft cheese.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Charles and Ruth Simpson
- In 2002, Charles & Ruth took a leap into the unknown. They quit their dull, corporate jobs. Hopped on the first plane to France. And bought up their own little patch of grape-growing land in Southern France.
- It turned out to be an inspired move. Since then their delicious, Angel-exclusive wines haven’t stopped scooping IWC and Decanter World Wine Awards and rave reviews from wine-critic royalty.
- Not content to rest on their laurels in France, they set their sights on another opportunity, making English wine in Blighty. Your backing also gave them the confidence to do just that! In 2014 they returned to their roots and planted their first English vineyard near Canterbury.
