Long-time Angels might remember Bruwer Raats’ Prima Nova Cab Sav. It disappeared for a few years, but after enough of you asked where it had gone, Bruwer decided to bring it back – reimagined as the five-variety Bordeaux blend he’d always wanted to make.

It’s a very Bruwer move. He’s one of Naked’s originals, a South African winemaking legend, and exactly the sort of person you’d trust to tinker with a good thing and somehow make it even better.

Expect a tumble into dark, fruity deliciousness – think blackberry, bramble and black cherry, wrapped in cedar, cinnamon, dark chocolate, mint and a hint of mushroomy savouriness. The palate is plush and intense, with ripe fruit and a long, spicy finish. Big yes for sirloin, rib-eye or anything steak-shaped.
