Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
The Bordeaux rebel giving Champagne a run for its bubbles
-
Olivier Cazenave’s new Crémant de Bordeaux proves you don’t need to spend Champagne money for Champagne-style magic.
-
It’s a Blanc de Noirs (that means white from black grapes) made in the exact same way as Champagne. Hand-harvested and handled gently so not a hint of colour seeps into the final wine. It’s fermented in the bottle to develop elegant bubbles and that creamy, nutty complexity we all love.
-
You can expect flavours of crisp lemon and apple, a touch of nuttiness, and a pastry note that wraps it all together. There’s real texture to the bubbles too, like a very sophisticated hug. It’s fresh, finessed, and full of character, exactly the kind of fizz that deserves good company, a bit of sparkle in the air… and maybe even a roast turkey waiting in the wings?

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Olivier Cazenave
- Olivier Cazenave is a rare breed... the most radical wine grower you'll find in the historically posh and stuffy Bordeaux region.
- He developed a taste for wine aged 17, but Olivier didn’t realise he could turn his passion into a career until he was 40. He started making wine in 2003, in the middle of a downturn in the region “you would have to be crazy to buy a property in Bordeaux in 2003”.
- Olivier may hail from an ultra-famous wine region, but you probably haven’t heard of him... and that’s a good thing. He’s one of the region’s best kept secrets and he wants to prove that you can find outstanding value in Bordeaux.
