About the wine
The hug-in-a-mug of red wines
-
Full of plush red berries, a hint of smoke and a leafy lift to keep it fresh, this tummy-warming Merlot is the kind of red you’ll want within arm’s reach all autumn.
-
It’s made with the same delicate touch that’s won Karen medals galore, and shows off Lodi’s knack for ripe, generous fruit at prices that make you feel a bit smug.
-
Perfect next to a hearty stew, a crackling fire and your cosiest blanket. It wouldn’t look out of place at a summer BBQ or pizza night either. Basically, it’s red wine comfort food (but dressed up in silk pyjamas, not flannel ones).

Serving advice
Serve at room temperature. Right now I recommend giving it a little air. Use an aerator or simply pour a glass, swirl, and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Enjoy how the flavors evolve as you sip. After the first glass the second is even better. Cheers
Food match
This wine is the perfect Daily Red!
A juicy cheeseburger with melted cheddar, grilled onions and a side of fries
The richness of the burger softens the wine and the cheese brings out the dark fruit flavors. Crisp salty fries will refresh your palate between bites.
Grilled herb sausage with roasted garlic potatoes
The smoky char and juicy richness of the sausage brighten the fruit. Rosemary and garlic in the potatoes will bring out a savory note and the silky finish will bring it all together.
Cheese and crackersÂ…sometimes the easiest pairings are the best!
