About the wine
Eddy's dream wine is finally here - a one-off Lebanese Cinsault with incredible depth of flavour
-
Back in 2021, thousands of Angels crowned Eddy Naim as Naked’s Winemaker of the Year. As part of his prize, he got the chance to make this dream wine – exclusively for you.
-
His passion project? The OG grape that kick-started Lebanon’s wine revival – Cinsault. Eddy went full wine perfectionist, pushing aside roughly 30% of the fruit that didn’t hit his ripeness bullseye, so only the juiciest grapes were reserved for his Winemaker of the Year wine.
-
In the glass, it’s dark and brooding. But take a sip and you’ll see it’s a soft, light-bodied red. Jam-packed with bright red cherries, forest fruits, and an incredible depth of earthy flavour – think black pepper, leafy aromas, spice and cedar. In the summer, you could serve it slightly chilled with cheese or salty nibbles. But in chillier times, it’ll be a dream with a rich beef bourguignon.

Serving advice
Open/Decant at least 1 hour before serving
Food match
Traditionally, Cinsault is paired with escargot. But I like to enjoy it with char-grilled shrimp, a charcuterie board (with rather fatty cuts), or soft cheese such as brie. Slightly chilled, it's an ideal summer wine to have at a BBQ, or in winter paired with a rich beef/lamb stew served at usual serving temperatures.
