About the wine
Provence's golden boy goes gloriously red
-
Benjamin Meï may be best known for his top-class rosé, but this equally delicious Luberon red proves he’s no one-trick pony. With Angel backing, he’s been able to invest in fancy new tanks and oak barrels – giving this classic Rhône blend even more polish.
-
Grown at 280m altitude, it’s vividly bright and fruity fresh – all juicy cherry, sweet plum and ripe blueberry on the palate, with flashes of peppery spice, herbs and a hint of coffee. Not to mention that creamy, generous texture that makes you go, “Yes please, I’ll have another.”
-
Angels got an early taste of this on the 2025 Naked Wines Tasting Tour as a sneaky-preview, “under the table” wine. The verdict? Très magnifique. So much so, it helped earn this cuvée its place on the Naked shelves… and in your glass.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Meï
- Benjamin's been making wine for 20 years, and he's seen it all. It seems that wherever he lays his hat, whether that be in the wineries of the old world or new world, exceptionally high quality wines are guaranteed to follow. In other words, he's the kind of friend you want to have around...
- Despite achieving great success across the globe, Benjamin decided to take the ultimate risk in 2015, choosing to leave it all behind and return to his roots in France.
- Back in his natural habitat, Benjamin has continued to produce truly stellar wines. Despite working with a huge variety of different grapes across many different regions, you can spot his wines a mile off for their next level freshness and minerality.
