Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
This is Muscadet in fine-dining form
-
The Crus of Muscadet are the crown jewels of the region, born from decades of hard work by local winemakers, with strict rules on zoning, hand-harvesting and tiny yields to capture extra depth, complexity and flavour.
-
This one’s made from 50-year-old vines rooted deep in Clisson’s granite soils (and aged two years on lees). It packs way more punch than your average Loire white – think candied citrus, smoky spice and a creamy, lees-aged texture that lingers on the palate.
-
Sure, chill it down for oysters if you like, but it really shines with slow-cooked pork belly or a decadent cheese board.

Serving advice
Serve chilled at 8-10°C
Food match
Its richness makes it a natural match for white meats or sweet-and-sour dishes. Slow-cooked pork belly with parsnip compliments the wine's honeyed notes. We also highly recommend this wine with cheese - the ripe fruit and honey notes balance beautifully with the sweetness and farmyard flavors of Ardhalou.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Francois and famille Lieubeau
- Nantes is best known as the birthplace of sci-fi legend Jules Verne, but thanks to the Lieubeau family, it’s now on the winemaking map. In fact, their wine-loving ancestors arrived there before Verne was even born.
- Now Francois and co. have decided to combine the Loire’s claims to fame, and we think they’ve come up trumps with this magnificent Muscadet. Decadently dry with citrus aplenty, this is your perfect summer sipper.
The label is based on one of Verne’s most famous stories, a journey into the unknown. Take your own “voyage extraordinaire” with this unusual wine made of pure Melon de Bourgogne, only grown in Muscadet. The label even makes food pairing simple - it’s a classic match with seafood!
