Crazy Wines Triangle 2021
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
JP has been waiting years to make you this wine
- We made a pure Carignan in 2010 and we loved it! Powerful and complex with great ageing potential. We wanted to make one again but the right opportunity never presented itself. That was until 2021 when we finally had the opportunity to harvest another Carignan from a different vineyard. We fell more and more in love with it day after day.
-
Since we also had lots of Marselan that we felt just as excited about, we fell upon the idea of combining the two. Then it was just a question of carefully blending to create balance and complexity whilst preserving the distinctive personality of the Carignan. We also added some Cabernet for more structure, but we’ve kept it really subtle.
-
This wine has a very attractive nose of ripe berries, crème de cassis, slight minty accents and soft spices. It offers a vibrant medium body with integrated tannins. The finish brings loads of spicy berries and promises of more complexity in the years to come.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jean Pascal Lacaze
-
Born and trained in Bordeaux, Jean-Pascal now makes wines in Chile, where he’s become a winemaking legend. Every delicious drop he touches ends up dripping medals and critical acclaim.
-
Back in 2008 when his main client went bust, Angels stepped in to save his bacon, and his vintage. Ever since, he’s been making award-winning wines specially for UK Angels.
-
How good is his kit? Well, in his spare time he also makes one of Chile’s most famous wines – the iconic Domus Aurea Cabernet Sauvignon. It sells for £40 and scores 90+ Parker Points every vintage. That good.
