About the wine
Serena is hellbent on impressing your taste buds with this light and playful Italian staple
- Barbera has been grown in Serena’s native region of Piedmont since time immemorial and naturally holds a very special place in her heart.
- With your support, she’s found the creme-de-la-creme of Barbera grapes and has been hard at work in the winery crafting you the most refined bottle she could possibly muster. Serena reads all of your comments word for word, so she’s hellbent on impressing you with how delicious this ancient wine can be.
- Her Barbera is remarkably juicy, with intense berry flavours dancing on your tongue from the very first drop. It comes with a fresh bite of acidity to keep things light and playful, elegant violets and layers of luxurious jammy red fruits

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Serena Cordero
-
Serena’s been delighting Angels for years with the top-shelf Italian wines she makes alongside her dad in Piedmont, like Barolo and Gavi di Gavi. Now, she’s also blazing new trails with a set of stunning Moldovan whites that’ve gone gangbusters. We can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.
-
Serena knew from an early age she wanted to follow in the family footsteps… ‘I was 7 years old. Probably as a daughter in love with her dad, it was inevitable :-)’. She’s blossomed into a super-talented winemaker and is making her father proud with every bottle she makes.
-
Angel support helps Serena continue her family legacy, creating wines from the very same patch her grandad farmed years ago - and it’s also giving her the opportunity to discover new, off-the-beaten-track wines like her Moldovan gems. That’s why she’s so grateful and proud to share her kit with UK wine-lovers like you.
