The Coach was one of the first pubs to offer guest real ales in the area before many other establishments caught on to the idea. The Weatheroak Hill Micro Brewery was formed on site and is located right outside our front doors where we brew our own IPA, Gold, Bitter and Porter. Nobody could have predicted the success of the first brews of I.P.A. (3.8%) and W.H.B. (4.2%) and in January 2009 W.H.B won the Silver Medal at the CAMRA Redditch & Bromsgrove Winter Ale Festival. Following this came the Radford Ale (4.7%) and Shires Ale (4.7%). In addition to the Weatheroak Ales we serve a wide range of guest beers from other breweries, including Woods, Hook Norton, Hobsons, Holdens, St Austells and a daily changing Guest Beer. The fine ales can be enjoyed throughout the pub, as our attentive staff are happy to bring them up to the restaurant to compliment a meal. We host regular Beer Festivals when we have up to 14 guest beers, usually with a theme. These run Friday to Sunday, but get in quick, as the beer doesn't stay in the barrels for long! For forthcoming festivals check out our events calendar, so as not to miss out.
