Redwell Brewery was set up by a group of beer lovers from Norwich and beyond, with the aim of creating a lagers and beers that would re-ignite the city's rich brewing heritage. The history of brewing in Norwich goes back centuries but in spite of a number micro breweries popping up recently the industry is not a patch on its hey-day. At Redwell, we are committed to making craft beers and lagers from the best malting barley available which happens to be on our door step. Unlike the big commercial breweries, who buy their ingredients from abroad and send their beers through an automated process in a matter of hours, the secret of Redwell beers is the best quality ingredients, patience and the skills of a craft brewer who knows how to tease out the distinctive flavours over the necessary time. That way, beers develop naturally, in their own time, so that the taste of the best malted barley, the best hops from around the world and healthy yeast take centre stage. The brewer is constantly watching, tasting and overseeing the process, making sure that it is all in tune. So, the best ingredients are crucial, but the real difference is made by the skills of the master brewers David Jones, David Subjak and their assistants Ben Wright and Bob Bullock, with both head brewers having a beer each in the 1001 beers to try before you die' book. David Jones has been a celebrity brewer in Scandinavia for over 25 years, consistently winning awards whilst working for Jamtlands Brewery. It is lucky that he was returning to the UK and was available to help us start up Redwell last year. David Subjak is a recent addition from the Czech Republic and has been brewing award winning lagers in the Czech Republic for over 10 years. This level of experience helps us not only achieve outstanding lagers and beers and blaze a trail in new flavours but also allows us to deliver consistency in every batch, every keg and every pint we produce.

Why pay more?
Our Angels support independent winemakers by investing £25 a month into their Naked Wines account, to spend whenever they want - in return for discounts, freebies, exclusive wines and more.
Smart move - you've found the Sweet Spot
When it comes to wine, a small step in price = a HUGE leap in quality and taste.
By spending £8-£11 for a bottle of wine, you're actually getting more than DOUBLE the quality of wine than a £6-£7 bottle.
Here's how it works...
In your average £6-£7 wine most of the price goes on fixed costs like taxes, duty, bottling and transport... leaving fewer pennies for the wine itself.
But by spending just a pound or two more, the majority of those fixed costs stay the same, so more pennies are going straight into the stuff you can actually taste, creating a big leap in quality.
