Our ale house is Derbyshire's first micropub. Originally a butchers shop, we have transformed it into a cosy and friendly place to enjoy a drink and a chat with friends and total strangers. The bar is an old Methodist chapel pulpit andfrom here we serve our own beers brewed 30 yards away plus up to 6 guest ales, most of which are rarely seen in Derbyshire. 3 real ciders and a selection of wine are also available. Very often we have musicians turn up for an impromptu accoustic session. We also supply beer to take home in either 4, 8, 16, 36 or 72 pint containers. 48 hours notice is required for 16, 36 and 72 pints. We also stock an interesting selection of bottled beers from smaller micro breweries. The ale house is also a Book Crossing Zone so you can pick up free books and pass them on when you have read them.
