Meet Leighton Joy...
Leighton Joy has been working around grapes for as long as he can remember. He started out working on his father's Sultana vineyard when he was 10. Leighton's love for wines increased over the years, becoming a cellar hand in Melbourne and eventually culminating in a bachelor of Viticulture. While studying he found a job in wine retail and continued to helps his father out on the family vineyard.
"Great wines are achieved in the vineyard". Leighton produces Single vineyard wines, so each and every release is a true representation of the place and time that the grapes were grown. The anticipation of each harvest is one of his favorite things about being a winemaker, The planning and thinking that goes into perfecting his craft creates a beautiful atmosphere that he can't get enough of.
Leighton plans to slowly expand the vineyard but the most difficult thing for him to do would be figuring out what to plant!
Naked Wines fits Leighton like a glove...he loves hearing everything you have to say - it's what inspires him to create incredible wine! Angels will give Leighton a hand up and ensure that his winery ticks with the precision of a Swiss watch.
