Based in an 18th century granary barn in the picturesque village of Lodsworth on the Cowdray estate, Langham Brewery nestles in the beautiful South Downs National Park between the historic market towns of Midhurst and Petworth on the A272. Well known locally, the brewery has gone from strength to strength, already securing 12 awards for its traditional cask conditioned real ales. Established in 2005, Langham Brewery was founded by James Berrow and Steve Mansley, assisted by Lesley Foulkes in the back office. Steve has since retired and James unleashed his creative side in 2013 to produce 2 new award winning beers, while Lesley stepped in formally to become sales and admin partner. Chief brewer and right hand man is Saulo Parreira with assistance from Scott Davies and Jim Rogers, our excellent drayman! The brewery's refurbished 10 barrel steam heated plant has been updated with the latest control and measurement equipment to ensure consistent and flavoursome beers every brew, but still keeps the original names that were on the vessels when it was acquired from Wickwar Brewery, in Gloucestershire — Cathy the Copper, Martha the Mashtun and Fatima, Fiona, Freda and Fanny the fermenters!! Expansion plans in 2014 will take the brewery from a 4 to 5 fermenter brewhouse and a conditioning tank for speciality beers, and also see the creation of an improved and bigger state of the art chiller room and storage. What sets Langham real ales apart is that we use only the finest ingredients. Leaf hops not pellet and centrifuges; floor malted barley from one of only 3 floor maltsters left in UK. We also cask condition our beer — a more traditional method which gives a longer shelf life and more importantly better, fresher tasting beer. So, traditional quality, great flavours and consistency, handcrafted by humans! We also have a strong eco ethos. Spent malt feeds a local cattle herd and fermenter waste is collected by the Cowdray estate to mix with slurry and fertilise the fields. You can find Langham real ale at many local hostelries including The Duke of Cumberland (Henley), The Hollist Arms (Lodsworth), Hole In The Wall (Portsmouth), Prince of Wales (Farnborough), Wilkes Head (Eastergate), Cliftonville (Brighton), The Rockstone (Southampton) and many other good real ale pubs in Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Bottled beer is also available in Waitrose, Budgens, and local delis and off licences and the brewery shop. Visitors are always welcome to the brewery for offsales from two pints to a firkin for that special occasion, party or wedding or a brewery tour and taste! Also every 3 months or so the brewery hosts its own PopUp gigs with local bands, beat poets, comedy, BBQ and of course a bar, and in October several hundred folk meet at the brewery for the Langham Brewery Annual Junior and Senior Conker Competition now in its 7th year.

Why pay more?
Our Angels support independent winemakers by investing £25 a month into their Naked Wines account, to spend whenever they want - in return for discounts, freebies, exclusive wines and more.
Smart move - you've found the Sweet Spot
When it comes to wine, a small step in price = a HUGE leap in quality and taste.
By spending £8-£11 for a bottle of wine, you're actually getting more than DOUBLE the quality of wine than a £6-£7 bottle.
Here's how it works...
In your average £6-£7 wine most of the price goes on fixed costs like taxes, duty, bottling and transport... leaving fewer pennies for the wine itself.
But by spending just a pound or two more, the majority of those fixed costs stay the same, so more pennies are going straight into the stuff you can actually taste, creating a big leap in quality.
