We believe in 'Hand-Crafted' beer. The Great Western Brewing Company is a microbrewery brewery based in Bristol. We brew beer that is unfiltered, unpasteurized and full of flavour the sort of beer we enjoy drinking and we hope you enjoy drinking, too. We are a small, family run independent brewery, and we brew all our beer ourselves, on site with our own borehole. We are of course as committed to the quality of our brewing as we are to our social and business responsibilities. It is really important to us that our beers are brewed with the best freshest ingredients to produce the highest possible standards of quality, consistency and flavour. Above all else quality comes first. The rising sun was purchased by Roger and Pauline Stone. Our first experience within the industry began back in 1982 with the purchase of The Rising Sun at Frampton Cotterell. In 2012 we landed a Wetherspoons and Wadworth guest ale position for a few months. this bumped up our production and we needed a bigger capacity. Two new fermenters were added allowing us to be able to brew 5 times a week. Even Ruby lent a helping paw.
