Flat Cap Beers is based in a sunny, windy and frequently wet corner of the great British Isles called Cornwall. The company is the illegitimate brainchild of 2 passionate beer drinkers one from the dark side, the other from the light side. After dubiously highly successful careers not involving beer the intrepid two have made the momentous decision to join the Craft Beer Movement it has to be pointed out that this was after being rejected by the Movement For Craft Beer. But why more craft beers*? Just how much of this stuff can we guzzle? Well from our out-of-depth research the answer is a lot more! Here in the UK we are apparently struggling in 18th place in the global beer necking league, which we believe, quite frankly, is just not good enough and really rather embarrassing. So we've jumped into action and launched Flat Cap Beers, not only to help us all rise up the league table and attempt to knock the current champions (Czech Republic) off the top spot, but more importantly to bring you more top notch beer to do so . This will be no easy task as we discovered whilst sourcing our handmade Czech Pilsner near Prague, where we had to work very, very hard to keep up with our native hosts during our tasting' sessions. And we now also have a Premium Pilsner from Zatec called MAX and we have teamed up with Polgoon Vineyard in Cornwall to produce a stunning Cider called FRANK. And we have so many more ideas that we are going to need your help in deciding what to do next. Beer styles, names, goat stews, you name it.
