ESTABLISHED IN 2000 Driftwood Spars Brewery was established in 2000 and is situated in the stunning Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, Cornwall. The brewery is part of the Driftwood Spars pub and B&B and probably has the best sea views any brewery has. AWARD WINNING BEER We are a multi award winning micro brewery and are proud to have achieved the Champion Winter Beer of Great Britain 2012, awarded by CAMRA for Alfie's Revenge. PETE & LOU Pete the Brewer and Louise the pub landlady met at the St Austell Brewery Beer Festival. Pete, a brewer without a brewery and Louise owning a brewery without a brewer made the perfect match for each other and the brewery has gone from strength to strength since. After a recent refurbishment the brewery now has five barrels, we're supplying pubs across Cornwall & Devon and expanding throughout the UK and even overseas. Pete the brewer, who is also a well-known local wood carver, prides himself on using only the very best British ingredients and creating traditional fine hand crafted British Ales that are elegant and sophisticated, giving wine a run for its money. The Driftwood Spars is a leader in the food and craft beer revolution. Pete works closely with Terry the Driftwood Spars chef to create beers that not only are great to enjoy with a meal, but also as a cooking ingredient. Together they have developed a range of tasty condiments including Apple and Ale Chutney, Picc-ale-lilli and Marm-ale-ade. Subtle, yes we know!
