A warm welcome from the Brewhouse & Kitchen team here at Portsmouth The first thing that you notice when you walk through the doors of this 100 year old, Tudor styled building is the gleaming copper vats, perched high on their pedestals. This is where the brewing is done - on site, in view, so that you can feel a part of this indigenous brewing experience. The fact that this was once the footprint of the 'locally famed' Brickwood Brewery, and latterly colloquially known as 'The Mucky Duck' it just seems right that it has returned to its roots and is once again producing some amazing brews. Recently refurbished, the whole place is gleaming yet still cosy and inviting. Choose your environment from sumptuous sofas for casual dining and drinking, large tables for great get-togethers to intimate tables for two and all we ask is that you relax and let our friendly staff look after you. We offer a wide range of cask ales, draught beers, international bottled beers and fine wines - see our Drinks Menu for the full listing. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner daily, and we look forward to welcoming you. We are a small, independent pub group and we're passionate about many things: fanatical about craft beer, obsessed about finding interesting bottled beers to add to our vast range, worship great wines and excited about teaming this fantastic collection of drinks to our offering of freshly-cooked pub classics all to give you a tantalising pub experience with a modern twist. We are so dedicated to craft beer that we actually brew a range of core and seasonal beers on site in our very own micro-brewery. Each range is as unique to the pub as its Head Brewer is. Come in and watch them work their magic… If you are inspired to find out more about brewing we offer a Brewery Experience Day at each of our sites. You get to brew, you get to taste lots of beer, and of course we also give you some great food, and at the end of the day you get to take home a mini-keg of beer (or pop back 2 weeks later and collect a mini-keg of the beer that you have brewed) Our Beer Masterclasses are really popular too tutored tastings of 8 beer styles with our Head Brewer followed by a choice of B&K Gourmet Burger - great if you are looking for a group activity or just a fun event.

Why pay more?
Our Angels support independent winemakers by investing £25 a month into their Naked Wines account, to spend whenever they want - in return for discounts, freebies, exclusive wines and more.
Smart move - you've found the Sweet Spot
When it comes to wine, a small step in price = a HUGE leap in quality and taste.
By spending £8-£11 for a bottle of wine, you're actually getting more than DOUBLE the quality of wine than a £6-£7 bottle.
Here's how it works...
In your average £6-£7 wine most of the price goes on fixed costs like taxes, duty, bottling and transport... leaving fewer pennies for the wine itself.
But by spending just a pound or two more, the majority of those fixed costs stay the same, so more pennies are going straight into the stuff you can actually taste, creating a big leap in quality.
