Aleyard Brewery has a brewing capacity of 2.5 barrels, or 410 litres. Brewing takes place 2 or 3 times a week. The brewery is based on a farm, in Riddlesworth, Norfolk. Planning conditions mean it is not possible to offer public access, or retail sales on site. Production is geared towards bottle conditioned beers and these will be sold mainly via small, local shops. Bottle conditioned means that there is yeast in every bottle, naturally producing Carbon Dioxide. The yeast settles to form a sediment in the bottom of the bottle, unless you shake it up! All beers are given a minimum 6 week, in-bottle conditioning period, prior to sale. Aleyard beers contain only malted barley (some contain wheat), water, hops and yeast. There are no finings or chemicals added, during the brewing or fermentation processes. The beers may, sometimes, have a slight haze to them. Stored in a cool, dark place, these beers will "drop bright" given time.

Why pay more?
Our Angels support independent winemakers by investing £25 a month into their Naked Wines account, to spend whenever they want - in return for discounts, freebies, exclusive wines and more.
Smart move - you've found the Sweet Spot
When it comes to wine, a small step in price = a HUGE leap in quality and taste.
By spending £8-£11 for a bottle of wine, you're actually getting more than DOUBLE the quality of wine than a £6-£7 bottle.
Here's how it works...
In your average £6-£7 wine most of the price goes on fixed costs like taxes, duty, bottling and transport... leaving fewer pennies for the wine itself.
But by spending just a pound or two more, the majority of those fixed costs stay the same, so more pennies are going straight into the stuff you can actually taste, creating a big leap in quality.
