Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the spirit
The little whiskey that won big
-
In 2024, we slipped a mini-set of David and Fiona’s Shortcross spirits into our big Christmas case as a little gift to Angels. After sipping and savouring the lot – you voted for their warming Irish whiskey to get the full-bottle treatment.
-
The flavour is everything you want from a beautifully crafted Irish whiskey – a perfect mix of sweet, nutty and floral. Think toffee apple, chocolate, caramel-drizzled banana, sweet orange and toasty spice.
-
Whether you sip it neat, add a splash of water, or fizz it up into a highball – it’s the kind of whiskey that slots perfectly into your cosiest unwinding moments, feet up, lights low, favourite jumper on.
Best before
No best before - whiskey can be stored safely for decades.
Serving advice
Pour own its own or with a splash of water. Or serve as a high ball with refreshing soda water.
Food match
Simply enjoy on its own as you wind down the day - or with your choice of salty nibbles.
Contains sulphites

Meet the spirit maker - David Boyd-Armstrong
David and Fiona Boyd-Armstrong are the husband and wife team behind Northern Ireland's first award-winning craft Gin distillery, which is also the home of Northern Ireland's most awarded Gin to boot!
The duo have an entirely unique set-up that you can find discreetely tucked away within 500 acres of County Down's historic forests and gardens. Hand crafted from copper, their stills use an infusion of old and new technology which work together seamlessly to produce the signature Short Cross smoothness that had us instantly swooning.
David says "Building our distillery and creating Shortcross Gin has been a true love affair for both of us. We wanted to rekindle a distilling tradition that spans back centuries in Ireland. It has taken time to build and create our distillery, to travel the world and craft our skills."
