To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the spirit
Rupert's rarely-seen Dailuaine single malt Scotch whisky has been maturing beautifully for almost a decade
-
When we launched our first ever single malt whisky, we were amazed at just how quickly Scotch-loving Angels gobbled it up. It wasn’t long before we were on the phone to Rupert, asking what he’d got planned as an encore. And as luck would have it, he had just the whisky in mind hiding away in his cellar, which he can’t wait to share with you.
-
Just like Rupert’s first single malt, this one is also from Speyside but just a wee bit richer, meatier and sweeter in flavour. The nose is alive with tantalising fruit aromas of orange and lemon complemented by lovely toffee and vanilla notes. And the palate follows on really well with sweet flavours of citrus, apple, pear and butterscotch. The texture is soft, smooth and creamy, with a nice long finish.
-
Dailuaine is very rarely made as a single malt, it usually ends up in famous Scotch whisky blends, including Rupert’s own Trade Mark X. But Rupert thinks whisky this good deserves the chance to shine on its own. Which is why he was so keen to bottle it for Angels as his second single malt. Just one word of warning - this is a proper small batch whisky, we only have around 1,000 bottles to go around. So you’ll need to act quick to secure your share.
Best before
There's no best before date on this product as whisky can be stored safely for many decades in the bottle. Unlike wine, the key to preserving a whisky is to store it upright, because you don't want the cork in touch with the alcohol.
Serving advice
To appreciate all the complexity of this single malt whisky the simplest way to serve it is neat. You can also add a drop or two of water, if you like, to open up the flavours and soften the alcohol.
Food match
The summery flavours of this whisky make it perfect to enjoy neat in the garden sunshine or on the sofa after a long day. You could also enjoy it with some snacky bits - dried fruit and nuts or cheeses work well.

Meet the spirit maker - Rupert Patrick
- Years ago Rupert had a wild idea to start his own whisky business. He knew he needed to gain experience in the industry first, so he set off to travel the world selling scotch and made contacts all over Scotland.
- A chance discovery in 2016 gave him the nudge to go it alone. He came across the whisky ledgers of his great great grandfather, James Eadie. They revealed the secrets behind a once highly-regarded family blend, and Rupert knew he had to revive it.
- He persuaded one of Scotland’s most experienced and distinguished Master Blenders, Norman Mathison, to come out of retirement and the pair have worked tirelessly ever since. Norman’s skill, Rupert’s dedication and Angels' support has brought this blend back to life... and it stands out from the crowd today, just as it did 170 years ago.
