Miriam California Chenin Blanc 2021
About the wine
A whirlwind of fruit and zippiness from super talented young Napa winemaker
- Naked USA have had this wine for years and Angels across the pond just can’t get enough of it so we thought we should get our hands on some to see what all the fuss is about...
- Unlike previous vintages, this time Alex personally picked which blocks of Chenin to use - meaning this years’ is better than ever. It’s all thanks to Angel funding that she could invest so much more time and money into the project so consider this her thank you to you!
- Crisp, fresh and a real everyday glugger - make sure you drink this one whilst it’s young to make the most out of all those delicious citrus flavours (although if you did wait a bit longer these would develop into gorgeous tropical notes so we guess it’s a win win!)
Best before
Drink now to 2025
(Please note there is a misprint on this wine that reads drink by 2023, it'll be great until then!)
Serving advice
I like to drink this wine chilled down at least overnight, and then allow it to warm up in my glass as I am drinking it. Serve chilled at 8-10°C.
Food match
This wine can really stand up against any dish. This year I will be pairing it with homemade poke bowls, all variations of pasta dishes, and appetizer plates.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Alexandra Farber
- Alex Farber is a startling young talent that Angels discovered working at a big fancy winery in Napa Valley.
- Every winery wishes it had an Alex Farber because she's diligent, passionate and knows her stuff... but most wineries hide their junior talent and shine a spotlight on some old fuddy-duddy consulting oenologist who drops by the winery a few times a year.
- Angels give credit where credit is due, and Alex now gets to make her own stunning wines (and gets all the applause!)
