About the oil
New Franck Massard Olive Oil from thousand-year-old trees you saved from the chop
-
In his travels around northern Spain, Franck Massard stumbled upon a small community of olive growers fighting to keep their tradition alive. They had these beautiful, thousand-year-old olive trees that produced delicious fruit, but due to money pressures they were in danger of being ripped up and sold off as high-end ornaments. If something wasn’t done, this local craft could have been lost forever.
-
Franck got in touch to let us know the situation and we agreed this was not only a priceless opportunity to save a piece of Spanish heritage, but it also meant we could create you a special Olive Oil with a millennium of history behind it. We sent Franck the funds he needed to get started... and he went picking.
-
This is a high-quality artisan Olive Oil, with rich leafy flavours and a light spicy finish. Delicious drizzled over Mediterranean salads or adding a dab of silky smooth texture to your grilled salmon. Mouthwatering.

Serving advice
To get the most out of the flavours, Franck recommends adding a drizzle of his fresh olive oil to your dishes just before serving, rather than cooking with it.
Food match
Perfect for bread dunking and drizzling over salads, roasted veggies, or pasta. Franck likes to pour a drop over grilled hake or sea bream with a squeeze of lemon.
