Firebird Brewery

Bitter ABV 4.00%

Rummaging in his archive Bill unearthed one of his Great Great Grandfather's recipes from 1854. The beer called XX at the time became one of King of Horsham's most important beers and went on to become King and Barnes' Sussex Bitter. Today we have revived his original recipe in tribute to him but added a modern twist with the addition of Challenger hops and a unique dry hopping technique using the Progress variety. The result is an amber beer with a fresh hoppy aroma and a full bodied and satisfying taste with a lingering and pleasant bitterness. This beer is great drinking on its own and will accompany any dark meats or fried dishes.
