Nose: An Alluring nutty aroma. Followed-up by Toasted malt toffee and faint hint of aniseed. Palate: Follows the nose. Toasted malt burnt toffee and the liquorice flavouring is prevalent. Some light floral hops linger to produce a welcomed bitterness. Appearance: Pours a dark chestnut shade with a white head. Finish: Body is medium oily texture with an ever so slight carbonation. Comments: Very drinkable bitter - the malty flavours with a slight touch of hop creates a thoroughly enjoyable session beer.
