To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
A bright and exuberant red from the heart of Georgia's most ancient winemaking region
- Aleksandrouli is one of Georgia’s classic dry reds. Its aromas and flavours are full of ripe raspberries, strawberries and pomegranate.
- It has a warmth and smoothness, but at the same time the high altitude grapes deliver a raspy, crunchy freshness. Rather than it being a big rich comfort blanket of a red, Luka’s made you a lively little number with some real spring in its step.
- Out of 100 Naked wines tasted by Decanter recently, both Luka’s wines got glowing reviews and were selected in Decanter’s ‘Best Buys from Naked Wines’, with the Aleksandrouli bagging an impressive 94 points.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Luka Beshidze
- When Angels asked Ray to hit the road in search of new gems, one place on the list stood out above the rest - Georgia. Ray was introduced to wine from all over the country but a sip of one wine in particular made his jaw hit the floor.
- This was a wine from Luka Beshidze, a winemaker from a far off region called Racha, nestled deep into the Caucasus mountains. After travelling on winding roads into the snow capped mountains to reach the 'Ancient Valley', Ray knew Luka was the winemaker Angels were looking for - no airs and graces, just a genuine guy, who’s insanely passionate about his homeland's potential for amazing wines.
- Luka's wines tasted even better than Ray had hoped. The whites were insanely fresh and fruity (they could blow the socks off a supermarket Sauvignon any day), and the reds were dark, vibrant and total crowd pleasers. Luka told Ray that his dream was to find a bigger audience to showcase his country’s wines and Ray explained that over 350,000 Angels were waiting to drink them.
